Star Diploma
The Star Diploma embodies the school’s ambition to develop well-rounded, ethical and accomplished leaders of tomorrow. It is a prestigious award implemented across all Star schools.
The Diploma comprises three elements of Attendance, Behaviour and Community Service, which together provide a formal structure that.
- encourages positive conduct and pupils’ commitment to their education.
- promotes SMSC and fosters active citizenship and community involvement.
- develops more rounded individuals by extending pupils’ education, experiences and personal growth beyond their academic study.
Award of the Star Diploma recognises not only the holder’s outstanding conduct; but also reflects how they will embrace their role as a future citizen in the wider society in which they will live and to which they will contribute.
Star Diploma Overview
The Star Diploma is a points-based award. Pupils accrue points across each of the three elements over the course of an academic year. Scores are assigned to activity in each element. Thirty Star points are available in total over the three indicators as set out below.
Achievement of the Star Diploma is recognised at four award levels based on the total Star points accrued
