Pupils raise over £3000 For Children In Need

Pupils at Eden Girls’ School, Slough raised £3069 for Children in Need by holding sponsorship challenges, selling snacks and drinks, running sporting competitions and setting sweepstakes.

The young people have been working together to plan and deliver the school’s fundraising for Children In Need, while developing their own leadership and enterprise skills.

They took part in the sale of products and the provision of services in raising money for this important cause, gaining valuable experience of motivating others by ensuring all the school’s year groups were engaged in the activities. They also kept the fundraising momentum going throughout the week.

Karim Murcia, Principal, said:

“Raising £3000 for Children in Need is a great achievement which will contribute to the charity’s outstanding work with the most vulnerable children. I am extremely proud of them all!”

Year 9 pupil Mariam said:

“When we looked into supporting Children In Need, we realised there are young people who are not as blessed as us, so it was a fantastic chance to help them. We were very happy to see our friends giving money to charity. I hope we can make a difference to the lives of children that are less fortunate.”
