School staff and parents have today been celebrating with pupils at the school as they progress onto the next stage of their education or training.

One of a number of high performers in the school was Aadila Asry, who achieved the top grade of 9 in 9 subjects. Aadila has remained committed to her studies throughout the pandemic and has even acted as a mentor to others in her role as Student Leader.

Indeed, during her A level studies in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry at Upton Court Grammar School, she will continue to support younger pupils at Eden Girls’ when she takes up her post as a Future Alumni Leader, helping others to be good learners.

Speaking about her results, Aadila said:

“I am so pleased with my results – I’ve worked really hard throughout school, and it’s definitely been worth it.

“I’ve had a great time at Eden Girls and will really miss my school family. We’ve all supported one another through these difficult times, and I think that this has helped me to become the very best person I can be. I wish to thank all my teachers for all their support and dedication to my success”

Fellow pupil Ghayda Abubakar also came away delighted with her results, also achieving the top grade of 9 in 9 subjects, which secured her place at Herschel Grammar School where she will fulfil her passion for textiles, studying Design & Technology, Maths and Physics in her A levels.

“Studying for and completing their exams at the best of times is a difficult, but our young people have faced so much disruption to their education in the last three years so they should be very proud of their achievements.’’

“All of my staff want to give our pupils the best possible chance to achieve their aims in life, and I am so proud of the level of dedication given to our pupils from my support and teaching staff.’’
