Eden Girls’ School pupils celebrate exceptional GCSE results

The school community at Eden Girls’ School, Slough is celebrating after its pupils secured exceptional GCSE results this summer.

School staff and parents joined pupils in school as they opened the results that will enable them to progress onto the next stage of their education.

Sara Ahmed, this year’s highest performing pupil at Eden Girls’ School, Slough, is celebrating achieving the highest grade 9 in ten subjects. She is excited about the possibilities for the future. Sara said:

“Thank you to my parents for all their support and for the hard work of every teacher. All the extra lessons they provide and all the extra essays they marked have helped me be successful.”

Beheshta Mouj, another of the school’s top performers, is on cloud nine after achieving the top grade 9 in nine subjects. She now plans to continue her studies by taking A levels in Biology, Chemistry, and Maths at Burnham Grammar School. Reflecting on her achievements, Beheshta said:

“It is such a wonderful feeling to finally have these results and be able to go on to the next stage of my life. I just want to say thank you to everyone who helped me get here. The most difficult exam was computer science and getting a 9 in this subject was amazing.”

Talented linguist Insaf Messadi Bouaita was delighted to secure a trio of top grades in languages. Insaf was awarded the top grade 9 in Spanish and French, and a grade 8 in Arabic. Insaf said:

“I have a passion for languages. They are very versatile skills to have in life and I wish to thank the school for the opportunity to study multiple languages.”

Sajid Khaliq, Principal at Eden Girls’ School, Slough, said: “We are immensely proud of our pupils’ outstanding achievements in this year’s GCSEs. Their hard work, perseverance and dedication have culminated in a set of impressive academic results.

“I would also like to thank our exceptional staff and supportive parents who have played an integral role in nurturing our pupils’ success. I wish all our girls the best of luck in their future endeavours – they are Stars with bright futures ahead of them!”
